“Site navigation is not only helpful for SEO purpose but only it increases you site readibity to usere. So make your sitenavigation user friendly.”

site navigation as the name mean is the way to navigate through your site. it is a structrual way. the easier the structure the more user friendly it will be.

Being indexed by search engine is the very primary goal of every website. Before being searched by someone your page need to be indexed first by that search engine. It is the initial task. But it is not the whole idea. After being indexed by search engine you should make search engine’s job easy by providing a nice structural way to go any page of your site from any page. This job is known as site navigation. One of common way of doing it is the sitemap. We will talk about it later.

So the first thing is that you should make your site navigation SEO friendly. How can we do that? We can do it simply. Here are the some common faults in creating site navigation:

Usually some sorts of site navigation are seen now a day. Most web site designers are likely to be interested in flash site navigation. But as said early it is not a good practice. Though flash content is index able but text is last word I can tell about SEO, so I can’t take risk. Practically it is also not seen that it is giving any advantage.  Also some are likely to use images in site navigation. The reason of using images is that designers got the unlimited way to design text in images, but unfortunately text on a image are not read by search engines. So it won’t be wise to use image text rather than text. Another common fault is using JavaScript for site navigation. The idea is like as below: the component of a web page can be created on the server before rendered by browser or after arriving at browser. JavaScript works on browser side. Now if you make navigation using JavaScript then the navigation suppose to be created after browser read it not in server. This is the fact. When a search engine call for your site for indexing form the server then your navigation of the site likely not to be created. This why I do not recommended using JavaScript for site navigation. You can use JavaScript for lot more use but not in case where SEO is the primary goal. Another form of creating navigation is using CSS, it is okay if the CSS code itself included in the page, but if the CSS file is linked from outside then it won’t any good for site navigation.

You need to link all of pages anyhow. One of way is to put plain text link in the footer area. But it will get bulky when you will have hundreds of page. Another way is to have your plain html sitemap link in every page of your site. That can help. Also you can have numbers of site map if your page number is huge.
